Dearest Gentle Reader,
Just a short note to let you know that I will not be writing to you as normal this week as I have been working on my podcast’s birthday celebrations. Folklore, Food and Fairytales was three years old on 1 September so I have decided to put out three different episodes next week to mark the occasion as well as a bonus episode this week.
This week I’m talking to Icy Sedgwick from Fabulous Folklore about her brand new book Rebel Folklore: Empowering Tales of Spirits, Witches and other Misfits from Anansi to Baba Yaga which gathers 50 of the darkest and most complicated folktale characters from around the world, showing readers why we should care about the rebels and misfits of ancient stories which is released on 7 September.
You can find links to the podcast on most platforms via my Linktree
I also mention very briefly how I started writing to you all here so you may fancy a listen. If you subscribe to the podcast you will also get the birthday episodes which I am very excited to share with you. I will also write to you all next week to let you know what is in the episodes and share links as they go live.
I must now bring this letter to a close and return to my work on my birthday podcast episodes but please don’t hesitate to get in touch via the comments or via any of my social media profiles/my website . If you have enjoyed this and would like to read further such nonsense and have not yet subscribed, please don’t hesitate to subscribe for free at the button below. You’d be very welcome and it would be a joy to write to you.
